But NY, OR and FL are all legitimate options for you at this point. If your goal for the time being is to keep leveling up and then eventually to use Michigan as a home base (this is most people's goal for the majority of the game), then I'd say go wherever you are having fun. Plus thanks to the Tarpon and (to a lesser extent) the Florida Gar, Florida has some fun side options while you're farming the Largemouth & Peacock Bass. If you're using Crankbaits or larger Jigs and want to get a feel for how they work, Florida is the perfect place to learn those lures while also making money. And depending on your loadout, these Bass are fun and they can pack a punch. It's a Bass Farm, especially in the early to mid levels, but Bass Farms will make you money.
Later lakes have even more variety, But Falcon Lake IMO has a couple of nice challenges considering it's "only" a Level 14 Lake.Ģ- Florida. Meaning, you can target BOTH trout and bass here, albeit in different parts of the lake. I like Falcon Lake because first I enjoy trout fishing, both in the game and IRL, but also because this is the first "combo lake" on the game. If you're simply bored and looking for a new challenge, I would suggest 2 possible options.ġ- Oregon. If you're OK with the grind up to around Lvl 30, as the above player suggested, by all means go for it since you know what you're doing (I'm assuming) at Emerald Lake by now. By then, there wasn't a North American waterway short of MS that I wasn't ready for.īut I will say this. I tended to "over-level" and fish places well below the player level I was at all the way up into the Low 40s. If you're enjoying Emerald still, no harm in staying there.
