The next best place to farm Fool’s Cap is in Townlong Steppes. Consider entering Townlong Steppes before coming back down along the wall to the east. The dotted line represents a path where you won’t find any Fool’s Cap, but you might find other valuable herbs, so it’s worth circling Dread Wastes. The best place to farm Fool’s Cap is in Dread Wastes, mostly in the south west where you see the zig zags in the map below. The best place is in the south west of Dread Wastes where there are a bunch of islands sticking up in the water (The Briny Muck), but since there is only so much there you’ll probably find yourself flying all over looking for more. I will start tracking drop rates now that this happened, and report back after a few days as to whether or not Luck does actually buff the Guo-Lai Key drop rate.You can make a lot of gold with Fool's Cap, but if you want to step it up and make thousands of gold you should read my personal favorite guide. It's possible that it was some strange coincidence, but with such a huge jump in drop rate, I think that Luck of the Lotus may buff the key drop as well, for a noticeable gold boost of ~30g+items per key. My average has been around 20-25 an hour, so 14 in 15 minutes is a significant step up. This bigger thing I noticed, however, was that in the 15 minute span of the buff, I got 14 Guo-Lai Keys.
At the end of 15 minutes ended up with 23 Plundered Treasures, which yielded:īy itself this would have been a nice, albeit small, boost to my average gold-per-hour coming from shard farming.
The second time I got it, I was much more comfortable with my circuit and made the most out of the buff.
I didn't really pay attention the first time I got the buff because I didn't notice that I had it until there were only about 5 minutes left, and I was half afk for most of it. iLvl 670 Boom, so nothing special, *except* that I have Glyph of Untamed Stars, so I tend to be able to pull things faster than a few other classes.
